A Michigan based company, Amtek, Inc.is an authorized Centroid and Atrump dealer. Automated Machine Technologies, Inc. began 26 years ago in Grand Rapids, MI and from the beginning was dedicated to the service of CNC machine tool electronics. Over the years, as the products we sold and represented evolved, so did we evolve and recently we became an authorized Centroid CNC dealer/integrator specializing in the more complex installations, i.e. laser cutting equipment, various grinding machine applications, and the special machine. Our customers have relied on Amtek to adapt controls to machines performing special operations, as well as, boring mills, machining centers, and lathes. January 1988

Frank Hockeborn formed Automated Machine Technologies, Inc. and got to work creating a company that employed up to ten people servicing at the board level and performing field service for a variety of manufacturing.

june 1992

We retrofitted our first machine tool. We successfully installed a one axis cnc to a surface grinder with depth of cut controlled by percentage of load on the grinding wheel. .

1992 to present

Many years of service and hundreds control installations have honed our skills to a razors edge.
